Dimension Picks Up Angry Little God
Dimension Films, a unit of The Weinstein Company, has pre-bought the US distribution rights for Angry Little God, an English language remake of the Thai film 13 Beloved. The original 2006 edition, directed by Chookiat Matthew Sakveerakul, is about a Bangkok office worker who participates in a mysterious reality TV show only to find he is manipulated into more and more violent acts as he pursues a million dollar prize.
Rights to the film were acquired by IM Global, which will finance and produce the remake with Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcist). IM Global is the US sales and investment arm of Indian giant Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.
