Rapper Psy Markets The Message

 

SOUTH Korean rapper Park Jaesang (Psy) clearly knows his marketing as well as his music. His video Gangnam Style has picked up more than 110 million views on YouTube, ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s Social 50 chart, and also has its own Wikipedia page.

At Ad Age’s Shanghai’s conference on brand building, delegates were told by Split Works’ managing director Archie Hamilton that Gangnam Style was an example of how music can be a powerful marketing tool in any culture.
